Being a Guitar Hero fan I jumped at the release of a new game. The quality of Guitar Hero Metallica was great and I simply loved playing their songs on drums, especially considering how rare a Metallica song can be on music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I thought the quality of this game would have to at least be on par with this. How wrong was I! Surely playing reworked versions of the best songs from all the previous Guitar Hero games would be a blast, but it simply isn’t. The set list is good, but not great. I couldn’t even get into it enough to continue career, so I thought I’d venture into free play. Scrolling up and down the set list there is just nothing that jumps out that I HAD to play. The music ’score’ is also quite boring on the songs I played. I’m sure this game would be good in a party environment, but overall it feels just like a cash in. Very disappointed.
